Discrepant is still in Alpha. Alpha testing is about game play, genre, mood , and general perception of the game plot and how it unfolds. The intention is to create a dark but compelling interesting sci-fi themed experience, where you have to figure things out, but where you still are trying to keep a semblance of reality. I.e. this is not out-there sci-fi - this is a you as a real person being confronted with discrepancies in how the world should be, according to your rational outlook, and grappling with it. And been slightly scared at the same time.
